Arbs and middles die in minutes. This page walks through exactly how the Discord delivery is wired, what each filter does, and how to prove the whole chain works before you depend on it.
1 · Create a Discord webhook
In Discord open Server Settings → Integrations → Webhooks → New Webhook, pick the channel the signals should land in, then copy the webhook URL. Nothing else in your server is touched — Edgewise only posts to that one channel.
2 · Paste it into your alert channel
Inside Edgewise, alert channels live on the Alerts page of your account. Paste the webhook URL, name the channel (for example ‘Arbs only’), and save. You can run several channels at once — arbs to one, middles to another.
3 · Choose sports and a minimum edge
Each channel has its own filters: which sports it listens to (AFL, NRL, NBA, EPL, cricket, racing) and the minimum edge that is worth waking you up for. A 0.4% arb and a 3% arb are very different signals — set the floor where it matters to you.
4 · Set quiet hours
Overnight US markets fire constantly. Quiet hours suppress delivery in your local time window and the signals still appear in the in-app feed, so nothing is lost — it just isn't pushed to your phone at 3am.
5 · Send a test signal
Every channel has a test button. It posts a sample alert immediately so you can prove the wiring end-to-end before you rely on it during a live meeting. If the test doesn't land, the webhook URL or channel permission is wrong — not the scanner.
What an alert is — and isn't
Alerts are research notifications only — Edgewise never places a bet for you.
The in-app signal feed always shows the full stream, even when a channel is filtered or quiet.
Each alert carries the market, the books, the price on each side and the edge at the moment it fired.
Arbs and middles are short-lived; the alert is sent as the scanner sees it, not on a batch schedule.
Discord alerts and the assistant connector are live today. Email and SMS channels are still being wired to their providers.
Alert channels are part of a plan
Setting up a channel happens inside your account. Pricing and what's included are on the plans page.
